Trummelbach Waterfalls Switzerland - near Grindelwald

Trummelbach Waterfalls Switzerland - near Grindelwald Travel Guide - Tourist Information

The Trummelbachfall is a tiered waterfall with 10 drops falling from a height of 140 meters or 459 feet. Though this is a perennial waterfall, the flow is best during summer and spring seasons.

The Trummelbach falls are formed by the water melted from the three Swiss mountains. Due to the melting of the glacier a deep and twisting gorge has been formed which makes the rock walls surround the waterfall. You can find pathways in the gorge.

How to go there - Train, Rail, Air/Flights

To get to Trümmelbach Falls by car from Berne/Basel/Zurich/Geneva, take freeway N6 or take N8 if you are coming from Lucerne/Zurich. Near Interlaken, take the Wilderswil exit and continue driving toward Wilderswil and Lauterbrunnen. About 3 km after passing through Lauterbrunnen you will arrive at Trümmelbach Falls.

If you are going to Trümmelbach Falls by train, go via Interlaken (SBB/BLS/Brünigbahn) toward Lauterbrunnen (BOB). A bus will take you from there to the Trümmelbach Falls bus stop.

The Trümmelbach Glacier Waterfalls are open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily from the beginning of April to the beginning of November and from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. in July and August.
