There are direct flights to Geneva, Lugano and Zurich. The airlines that operate are Darwin Airline and Swiss Airline. You will get indirect flights also. Lufthansa operate these indirect flights from Bern and Basel Malhouse Freiburg. The cost of travel is cheaper in these airlines.

Domestic Airlines are very fast but at the same time, they are very expensive. Only exception is the flight from Geneva to Zurich that takes 30 minutes. To save time most of the people like to travel by bus or train. The other mode of transport is also very good in Switzerland.

Rail is one of the best modes of transport in Switzerland. Trains are fast and at the same time, they are not so expensive. If you buy a Swiss pass, you will be able to travel as many times as you want to various destinations for a given period. Trains are also very frequent. Food and refreshment are available on the train.

Several passes are available for the travelers. The Swiss Pass will give you unlimited travel opportunity and validity for 30 days. The STS family card allows free travel for children below 16 years who are accompanying their parents. The other passes are Inter rails one country pass and Swiss transfer ticket.

Traveling by road is also a good idea. The only thing is that you will find some narrow and winding roads while you travel up the mountains. Sometimes the roads remain closed due to heavy snowfall. The bus service will give you the opportunity to reach remote places where you will not be able to reach by train or flight.

The transport system in Switzerland is very good. People can travel within Switzerland at a nominal cost. They have to choose the mode of transport as per their convenience.
