Ice Palace
The ice palace is at an altitude of 3454 meters above sea level. You can have enchanting views of the Bernese Oberland and glaciers far off from the ice palace. A large cave has been carved 200 meters inside the glacier for creating this ice palace. There are beautiful ice sculptures of animals and figures from around the world. These sculptures are changed regularly. The Ice Palace is connected to the Glacier Plateau with the help of the Ice Gateway.
Aletsch Glacier
The Aletsch Glacier is the longest ice river in the European Alps. It has the largest open space in Switzerland. This glacier begins at the peak of the Jungfraujoch with an altitude of 3500 meters. Here you will get some scintillating views over Jungfrau, Monch, Eiger and Aletschhorn. The Aletsch region has been heralded as the World Natural Heritage Site by UNESCO.
The Eiger Glacier’s Greenland dogs
During summer the dogs along with their masters travel from the Eiger Glacier towards Jungfraujoch. On arrival they take families and people who love dogs for rides to different parts of the glacier. These Greenland dogs are known for their ability to withstand extreme harsh weather conditions.
Schynige Platte with an Alpine garden
This particular location is at a height of 6454 ft where you can take the cogwheel railway to experience the most prolific views of the Jungfrau, Monch and Eiger. The Alpine Garden is the first among the various botanical gardens of the Alps. Care has been taken to nurture an assortment of plant species and during summer you will find the entire floral species of the Alps in full bloom in the garden.
