Village Brienz is located amidst mountains and offers spectacular scenery and is a great place to visit. Its very near to Lucerne and Interlaken – located on the eastern side of Interlaken.

Interlaken name comes from ‘In between lakes’ – namely Lake Brienz and Lake Thun.

They call it Brienzersee – See being lake in German. So Lake Brienz becomes Brienzersee.

The railway station is just a short distance away from the ship embarkation point: Brienz is located on the narrow-gauge railway line which links the famous holiday destinations of Interlaken, Meiringen-Hasliberg, Brünig, Lucerne and Engelberg. You can also visit Giessbach Falls nearby on a boat.
